Your pedestrian/cyclist shuttle does not operate on a set schedule. Approximately how long can I expect to wait to cross?

The wait time for the shuttle can fluctuate depending on time of day, the number of passengers requiring service, and travel conditions on the bridge. The maximum wait time is two hours.

Are pets permitted on the shuttle?

Pets, with the exception of guide dogs for the visually and hearing impaired, are not permitted on the shuttle.

I wish to leave my vehicle in Prince Edward Island/New Brunswick and take the shuttle across the bridge. Where can I park?

There is no parking provided by the Confederation Bridge at the Pick Up/Drop Off Locations on either side of the bridge. Any vehicle left at either bridge location will be towed.

Pedestrian & Cyclists

Due to safety concerns, pedestrians and cyclists are not permitted on the Confederation Bridge. To accommodate these users, Bridge personnel operate a shuttle service from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Pick-up/Drop-off Locations

The Confederation Bridge pedestrian shuttle operates between two locations:

  1. The Confederation Bridge Operations Building located at 104 Abegweit Boulevard in Gateway Village, Borden-Carleton, PE
  2. The Confederation Bridge New Brunswick Facility located at exit 47 on Rte. 16 approx. 5 kilometers from the Confederation Bridge

Shuttle Information

  1. Passengers using the shuttle service will be required to wear a non medical mask during transit.
  2. Passengers are asked to notify Bridge Control of their arrival using the direct telephone lines located at the shuttle drop-off locations in both Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
  3. In order to better accommodate larger groups, please contact Bridge Control at 902.437.7349 in advance of your arrival.
  4. Please note that children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the crossing.

Fees

Bridge shuttle personnel will collect round-trip fees of $4.75 per pedestrian and $9.50 per cyclist prior to departing Prince Edward Island.
