The Longest Bridge, the Shortest Route
The Confederation Bridge joins the province of Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, Canada and forms part of the Trans Canada Highway-making traveling to and from either province simple and convenient. As a gateway to Canada's Island, Prince Edward Island, the Bridge links you to a multitude of festivals and events, activities, and places to visit. Once you're on the Island, the Bridge leads you back to the many adventures and experiences that New Brunswick and the mainland has to offer. Confederation Bridge is the convenient connector for the Maritime Provinces as it's less that a half hour from Nova Scotia. The toll plaza is located in Borden-Carleton, P.E.I and tolls are collected only when you depart P.E.I. The Bridge Toll Plaza has seven lanes. Four lanes are operated by Toll Collectors and accept all methods of payment. One lane is self serve for two-axle passenger vehicles only, accepting debit and all major credit cards and two lanes are reserved solely for commercial StraitPass users. |
